Craig Newman

I am the former President & CEO of AgReliant Genetics, the third largest corn seed company in the U.S. Prior to being named CEO in 2012, I served as the company’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing since its inception in 2000. I began my career in the seed business with Akin Seed Company in St. Francisville, Illinois in 1979, and have held various positions with Akin Seed, Callahan Seeds and AgriGold Hybrids, including General Manager, before the company became a division of AgReliant Genetics in 2000.

 

I have served as the chairman of the American Seed Trade Association Board of Directors as well as in other leadership roles within ASTA, including the Central Region Vice President representing the interests of members in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. I have also served as president of the Illinois Seed Dealers Association.

 

I am a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agribusiness management, and subsequently was a District Sales Representative for Procter & Gamble.
