John H Nelsen

I am a 45-year veteran of the seed industry. I have twice directly participated/led businesses from no net revenue to $200M of annual net revenue and sustainable profitability through organic growth. I have worked for both private equity start-ups and multinationals and held the positions of Global CEO, CEO, EVP and Director of Worldwide  Production - all crops. 

 

I served two terms on the Advisory Board of the USA Office of Plant Variety Protection, ten years on the Executive Board of the American Seed Trade Association and one year as ASTA chairman. I served two terms on the Advisory Board of Rabo Bank and held board positions for First Line Seed of Canada, Asgrow France and the Indiana Crop Improvement Association. I have been actively involved in start-up businesses in the USA, Brazil and India. I am a current member of the Board of RiceTec AG and a founder of Finding Black Ink (FBI).
